      Another important division under the Orange County comptroller is the County Audit division. Not only external but internal audit is also carried out. The internal audit checks the efficiency and effectiveness with which the management has carried out its financial responsibilities. Area of work of County audit also includes reviewing allegations of fraud, waste and abuse of funds. Tourist development and public service taxes are also collected by this department.333
