The word ‘County' has its origin in Europe. A land boundary consisting of cities and towns in a country is called a county. In Unites States of America a State consists of many counties like Harris County in Texas, Orange County in Florida etc. The county has many cities like Houston in Texas. 48 of the 50 states in USA have counties.
